Are you ready to take your domestic violence advocacy experience to the next level?

The Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center, 866-USWOMEN, is seeking internationally minded advocates to volunteer on the international crisis line serving Americans abused overseas.

The mission of the Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center is to work with abused American women and children in foreign countries to provide domestic violence and child abuse advocacy, resources and tools so that they can navigate the complicated jurisdictional, legal & social international landscapes, to be able to live their lives free of abuse either in the foreign country or back in the United States. This achieved via an international toll free crisis line, 866-USWOMEN, accessible from 175 countries, serving a population estimated at 6 million American civilians overseas.

This training will be held on September 22 & September 24 from 6-9 pm and September 25 & September 26 from 10-4, in Portland, Oregon.

These advanced trainings will cover issues that impact American victims overseas and issues specific to answering calls on the international toll-free hotline. To qualify, you must be willing to complete additional training, have completed training with a domestic violence agency, have experience working on a domestic violence hotline or demonstrate experience working with victims.
