Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center Informational Sessions

The Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center (AODVC), in collaboration with the Ending Violence Against Women & Children Task Force of FAWCO (Federation of American Women Clubs Overseas), invites you to attend an information session as part of a “Global Campaign To Empower Americans Abused Abroad”

These free presentations will be held in Mumbai & Delhi India and Shanghai, China in the spring of 2010 and are open to the public. Please see the link to RSVP below.

The information session will be from 9am to 12noon. A member of AODVC will present on the services the organization has available to Americans experiencing domestic violence overseas, and an American Embassy or Consulate member will present on what they can do to assist victims in their region.

In addition, a volunteer ambassador training session will be held in the afternoon from 1:15pm to 3:00pm. The goal of the afternoon is to train ambassadors on how to raise awareness of the services available to victims through AODVC via presentations to women’s groups, newspaper or magazine publications and other outreach efforts. Participants who want to become volunteers must attend both the morning and the afternoon sessions.
